The Village Walk
The Village Walk
The Details
This initiative was dreamt up by myself and Lia Grimaudo who wished we had such a space when we were navigating our own transition into parenthood.
This weekly walk is meant to be casual and uplifting, where you leave feeling seen. Something to look forward to where you come as you are and you are met with others in search of community.

What to Expect
-
Slow arrival. Grab a beverage if you’d like. Feed or change your little one or have a quick bio break yourself. Get kiddos into carriers and strollers.
-
Guided walk through Hudson Village. We’ll have a few routes to cycle between. All beginner friendly.
Sneakers or other comfy footwear is recommended. We may take nature paths so keep this in mind for stroller selection. -
Reconvene back at Mikko feeling connected and energized.
Refuel, keep the conversation going, or head out onto whatever is next for you in your day. -
Yourself, a water bottle, comfy footwear, an outfit you feel good to move in. Kids or not - this is time for you, however you’d like to spend it!
Where to Find Us
We’ll meet up at Mikko Café & Torréfacteur, located in the cozy little Hudson Village. All of the latte’s and refreshing beverages you can imagine with a cute shaded terrace. There is a bathroom which has a changing table for ease.
You will find plenty of parking nearby.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat afterwards there are plenty of options; some of my favourites:
Furley Pain Viande & Vin - for ready made salads, sandwiches, and pastries you won’t be able to say ‘no’ to
Bistro Boutique Juniper - fresh & tasty soups, salads, and sandwiches
Cantine Flaquita - handmade empanadas and comforting Latin-inspired flavours
Que de Bonnes Choses - delicious vegetarian & vegan soups, sandwiches and tasty treats with several gluten free options
Bottē - handcrafted pizzas, fresh salads, and craft drinks

Nope, this’ll be a go at your own pace, gentle walk with an emphasis on conversation and connection.
There may be some hills, and we may need some breaks and that is just fine! -
If there’s a little bit of rain we’ll tough it out, but if temperatures become unsafe to drive or be outdoors we may cancel that week’s walk.
