Hi, I’m Lindsey Burns.

My mission is to create a compassionate, trauma-informed space which supports the emotional and physical wellbeing of new and expecting parents.

With a holistic approach as a Certified Nutrition Consultant and Postpartum Doula, this practice centres maternal mental health and the profound identity shift that comes with becoming a mother.

With a nurturing, evidence-based approach, Lindsey offers thoughtful guidance through the complexities of the postpartum period, holding space for grief, joy, anxiety, and transformation alike.

My Approach

I help you slow down, soften the in-between, and find patience with yourself in a season you’ve never walked through before. My work blends holistic care with practical, long-term support, creating a safe haven where you’re seen, validated, and guided with intention. Together, we shape a path through motherhood that honours your body, mind, and evolving identity.

Mental-health-centred

I didn’t learn about postpartum mental health in a textbook — I lived it. After birth, extreme sleep deprivation pushed me into anxiety and depression I never saw coming — just like 1 in 5 new mothers. This work is mental-health-centered because it has to be.

Support that holds, not fixes

You don’t need to be told “this will pass” or hear someone else’s story when you’re in the thick of your own. You need someone who can really listen — without fixing, minimizing, or making it about them. That’s the kind of support I needed, and it’s the kind I’m here to give.

FAQs

  • This support is for mothers and new parents who want evidence-based guidance, emotional grounding, and practical care as they move through the physical, mental, and identity shifts of postpartum. It’s for anyone who wants to feel seen, supported, and informed—not overwhelmed or alone.

  • It’s never too early or too late!

Anytime from pregnancy through the first year postpartum is perfect. Many families reach out during pregnancy to prepare intentionally, while others connect after baby arrives when they realize they need more support, clarity, or nourishment.

  • Nutrition plays a crucial role in restoring energy, supporting mood, rebalancing hormones, and replenishing nutrients depleted through pregnancy and birth. It also strengthens digestion, supports milk production, and can ease common postpartum challenges like fatigue and anxiety.

  • In my practice, doula expertise informs a holistic, whole-person approach rather than traditional hands-on doula tasks. This includes trauma-informed support, thoughtful resources tailored to each family’s unique circumstances, newborn care and foundational breastfeeding guidance—alongside emotional grounding and evidence-informed education. My role is to help you feel held, understood, and supported in a season that reshapes every part of life.

  • Because mothers deserve deeply attuned, trauma-informed care—care that honours their mental health, their evolving identity, and the profound transition they’re navigating. I do this work so no mother has to move through this chapter feeling unseen, unheard, or unsupported.

  • Results look different for every family, and that’s exactly the point. Instead of strict milestones or quick fixes, our work focuses on how you feel—more supported, more nourished, more grounded, and more confident in your own instincts. Together, we build gentle systems rooted in your core values, helping you create sustainable habits that support both your wellbeing and your family’s rhythms. And because your needs will evolve over time, I offer practical tools you can return to again and again—so you can reassess, grow, and adapt long after our sessions are complete.

  • Our work is personalized, collaborative, and deeply supportive. In one-on-one sessions — where non-birthing partners are absolutely welcome, we’ll explore your needs, clarify your ideal outcomes, and walk through thoughtful recommendations. We take things slowly and intentionally—integrating new habits, supports, and systems at a pace that feels manageable and aligned with your life.

Each package includes three sessions over roughly one month, giving us time to learn what truly works for your family, build comfort and trust, and keep you accountable in a supportive way. By the end, you’ll feel more confident tuning into your needs and equipped with tools that uplift you in realistic, long lasting ways.

  • I strongly believe that support - especially in the transition of new parenthood, should not be considered a privilege. As such, if you are feeling pulled to work together but finances are a blocker I will openly discuss payment plans among other options.

Requesting money towards your postpartum support is also a terrific idea since the impact this kind of care will have is incomparable. I happily offer gift cards which can be given - and I promise they will be received with open arms!
